Our Process

Every successful advisory relationship begins with understanding. Our process is designed to clarify your goals, define the right scope of advice, and build a strategy aligned with what your money needs to do for you and when.

Understanding Before Recommendation

Every client relationship begins with a conversation—not a recommendation.

Before discussing investments, financial planning, or other services, we take time to understand your goals, priorities, concerns, and the decisions you are trying to make. Only then can we determine whether we are a good fit and help you understand the different ways we may be able to help.

No two clients are exactly alike, so every engagement begins with understanding your unique circumstances.

Our objective is not to fit you into a predetermined service. It is to understand your situation first, then help you determine which recommendations—and which level of ongoing advice—are most appropriate for your needs.

A Clear and Collaborative Process

Each stage has a distinct purpose, moving from an introductory conversation to informed recommendations and, when appropriate, an ongoing working relationship.

01

Introduction

Everything begins with a brief introductory conversation. This is an opportunity to get acquainted, discuss what prompted you to seek advice, answer your initial questions, and determine whether a Discovery Meeting would be worthwhile.

There is no obligation beyond deciding whether it makes sense to continue the conversation.

02

Discovery

The Discovery Meeting is about understanding your situation.

Together, we will discuss your goals, priorities, concerns, current financial picture, and the role you would like an advisor to play. We will identify the questions you are trying to answer, review any existing planning or investment relationships, and develop a clearer understanding of what you are hoping to accomplish.

By the end of the meeting, we should both have a solid understanding of your circumstances and the types of services that may be appropriate.

If we decide to continue, we will schedule an Engagement Meeting.

03

Engagement

The Engagement Meeting is where we present our recommendations.

Based on what we learned during the Discovery Meeting, we will explain the approaches we believe are most appropriate for your situation and why. Depending on your circumstances, our recommendations may include comprehensive financial planning, investment management, Family Office services, or a combination of these.

Our recommendations are typically documented in one or more written engagement proposals. Depending on the scope of our recommendations, this may include a financial planning proposal, an investment management proposal, or both.

These documents describe the recommended services, the scope of each engagement, responsibilities, timeline, and applicable fees.

Ultimately, the decision is yours.

Our role is to provide the information, guidance, and recommendations you need to make an informed decision about how you would like to move forward.

If you choose to proceed, we will review the engagement agreement, answer any remaining questions, complete the necessary paperwork, and begin working together.

04

Implementation

Once the engagement begins, our focus shifts from understanding your situation to implementing the recommendations we have agreed upon.

Depending on the services you have selected, this may include developing a comprehensive financial plan, implementing investment strategies, coordinating with your tax and legal professionals, or helping you navigate an important financial transition.

From this point forward, our role is to provide thoughtful advice, coordinate implementation where appropriate, and help you make informed financial decisions with greater confidence.

05

Ongoing Advice

Life changes, and good advice should evolve with it.

As your circumstances change, we will continue to provide guidance, answer questions, evaluate new opportunities, and help you make informed financial decisions over time.

Many clients begin with one service and later expand the relationship as their needs become more complex. Others simply appreciate having a trusted advisor available when important decisions arise.

Our objective is to build a long-term relationship that adapts as your life and financial needs evolve.
